Description: This file contains the centerline of all named and unnamed roads, alleys, gravel, dirt, bike, walking trails and other relevant features in Okaloosa County. If a segment is part of a named, street it will have address ranges attached to each side of the segment and list the official 911 street names. If a segment is not part of a named street it will not have address ranges and not be named, however, it will have the TRANS-TYPE (transportation type or surface type) coded. These arcs are left in the file and are used for display purposes only. Okaloosa County GIS Division divided the County into 4 Phases. Purpose for rdsmn.aat To enable all addresses within Okaloosa County to be located using address geocoding. This shapefile allows the program to estimate the location of an address based on the length of the segment and the address range assigned to the segment. For example, an address of 49 Main Street would plot in the middle of a Main Street segment with an address range of 1-99 on one side and 2-100 on the other.
